I am not a professional photographer but I have always enjoyed taking photos which will freeze a single moment in time that usually cannot be repeated.
I have been involved in illustrated commerical graphics over the years and can draw a bit as well ;)
My first chance to freeze a single moment was way back over forty years ago when I was fifteen and took a 35mm camera into school and snapped away capturing class mates and teachers... all in black & white. I have been fortunate enough to have recently been able to be in contact with some of those long ago class mates and to be able to share those photos on the 'Nevill County Secondary School Leavers 1970 to 1980' Facebook Group (private).
Those photos and other ones from the FB group will be uploaded to a dedicated online gallery.
I was very pleased to have made contact again with Stewart Weir who has been a professional documentary, travel and portrait photographer for many years and having looked at his work this inspired me to go back to my camera. Having taken thousands of family photos and videos I am now looking to be creative in my photography although I make no claim to being anywhere near as good as Stewart.
Please take a look at Stewart's website: stewartweir.com
The images on this site are purely created for personal pleasure and taken with a bog standard old Nikon D40 with all images having a photoshop filter added to enhance the colours and lines.
